Professional Training and Certification in
Gestalt Couple's and Small Systems Therapy
The Gestalt Couples and Small Systems Therapy Program Level One and Level Two are 9 month programs designed for mental health and other helping professionals. Level One is appropriate for anyone who desires a basic grounding in the Gestalt Therapy Theory, Principles and Techniques. Level Two is for the practitioner that desires to advance his or her application skills. Levels One and Two combined will provide professionals with an opportunity to enhance their assessment, communication, and observation skills and obtain a thorough knowledge of Gestalt Therapy. Instruction is both didactic and experiential, and is provided in a supportive yet challenging atmosphere within a rich and intimate group experience. Each level includes a minimum of 10 contact hours per month in Group learning and 4 hours per month in Individual Therapy. Practicum begin three to four months into the training program. Your practicum experience is a supervised learning experience in which you are practicing with a volunteer client.
An application, interview and participation in Introductory weekends are mandatory pre-requisites. Although it is not a requirement, Individuals having pior individual or family therapy benefit the most.

Gestalt Therapy, Excitement and Growth in the Human Personality (Perls, Hefferline and Goodman, 1951).
Gestalt Therapy, History, Theory and Practice (Woldt and Toman, 2005). These books can be ordered from gestalt.org.

Payment can be remitted in full or quarterly. Your non-refundable application fee plus the first quarter tuition must be submitted prior to the beginning of the start of training. For those who pay in full, the application fees will be waived. Please refer to calendar for start dates. Interviews and participation in Introductory weekends are mandatory pre-requisites.
